A film telling the story – Celebrate 50 years of Special Education!
Film production underway in New Jersey for a special needs school celebrating over 50 years.
GV CERV Communications was asked to storyboard, film, and produce a feature mini-film telling the story of Harbor School of Eatontown, NJ. Harbor School is a special needs school that has helped children from 5-21 years of age for over 50 years. After discussing with one of the founders Jean Stack of RKS Associates, we felt this was a story worthy of being told and shared in a film.
Currently, we have been busy interviewing key individuals in addition to filming many special events such as parent/staff workshops, alumni event, the student of the month, talent shows, classrooms, and support services. As we expected the commitment of Harbor School represents over 50 years of building the ongoing mission which consists of a dedicated family of special education professionals that have made up what Harbor School is today. From its inception in 1968 by parents of special needs children looking to provide the necessary education and support that was lacking at that time, to the decades of growth, expansion, and technology-driven initiatives, Harbor School deserves their story to be expressed in video.
We are preparing to premiere this short film along with a celebration scheduled for late summer 2019. We look forward to sharing the film on the Harbor School website and furthering our support in communication and marketing for the network of RKS Associates special needs schools in New Jersey.
