Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 we were tasked with the design and creation of a community support site for residents of La Habra in Orange County, California.
The components of this site were to address a variety of needs for the residents of La Habra, California. GVCERV coordinated the site design and development with the La Habra Collaborative and the Institute for Healthcare Advancement which provides outreach and social services through their La Habra Family Resource Center. The most important feature was to incorporate and utilize unique forms on the site. One form is for residents requiring help and another form for community organizations, businesses, and support groups that can assist the most vulnerable in the community due to the unprecedented challenge during COVID-19.
Each form needed to integrate with the collaborative’s Salesforce database. Also, a two-page download PDF containing information in both English and Spanish is available, highlighting key and reliable information on COVID-19. The additional components of the site were designed to support the senior population, general health information, mental health support, free education at home, along with both physical/exercise resources, and worship resources.
We were grateful for having the opportunity to design and deploy this site in an extremely narrow time frame.
